Rubbish bins in each household were provided… the yellow cover is for recycle rubbish while the gray / green ones are for the non recycle rubbish. In every street, there is a schedule for pick up by the trucks… Ours happens on every Tuesday…
Rubbish Bins in every corner of the street..
Trolley / Groceries carts can be brought in the house. But of course you have to return it back…
Pedestrian lanes are more powerful here than the cars If you approach a pedestrian lane w/ no traffic light then you must ready to stop if someone is going to cross the street… especially old people and w/ babies..
CENTRELINK is an Australian Government Statutory Agency, assisting people to become self-sufficient and supporting those in need.
Medicare Australia is an Australian government agency and plays an integral role in the Australian health sector. Its objective is to assist in improving health outcomes in Australia. Well, we do have PHILHEALTH there… pero yon nga, ang liit lang ng pwede gawin… Private health insurance here are expensive… but w/ Medicare, I can say it’s great na!
Signs in the park
COUNCIL in each Suburb… They’re quite strict here, they have rules in each council and that rules should be followed.. if not, they will fine you! Just like tab’s aunt, She decided to cut the tree in her back yard, when the council found out, She was fine $160 for cutting the tree… also, they have this annual check up in each house / apartments.. They want to preserve old houses.. they don’t want the owner to rebuild a house from the old ones to new.. but they do accept renovations… Cool huh?
Child care / Day care… Kids w/ working parents were enrolled in the care w/ other people.. They have this Child care / day care stuffs.. It’s expensive! Some paid $50 bucks / day… If you want to have a nanny or a maid here you must be very rich coz they have the same salary w/ the blue collar job here.. That’s why, its better to look after you baby.. just like me! you can save some bucks.. and you spend time w/ your baby pa hehe If you enrolled your child in a day care, you can get a Child Care Benefit from the gov’t, 30% of what you paid, you get it!
